cberner. Yep, as predicted, the cars from 6 years ago in Europe are starting to appear here. We're now getting Mercedes-Benz's Class B, but there's still no trace of the Class A. Audi is bringing us the A3, but where's the RS4? And Chrysler, GM and Ford are still bringing us weirder and stupider car every year, nothing new on that front. I'm going where the cars are sane, and when you don't have one, the public transports are sane too.

cberner's girlfriend joined us after for dinner and then coffee. She's quite nice, I got comfortable surprisingly quickly. When they first met, they were biking, and she beat him going up the hill on Atwater street (the one up from Sherbrooke, I think). Ah, a match made in heaven, LOL!On another note, I so have to buy this book. First, I like design patterns, as I find they give us a "language" to communicate ideas better, much like the original design patterns did for architecture. Second, there's a hot girl on the cover. Third, there are hilarious quips on the cover, such as "avoid those embarrassing coupling mistakes", "learn why everything your friends know about Factory Pattern is probably wrong" and, my favourite, "see why Jim's love life improved when he cut down on his inheritance" (hey, both love life improvement and one of my pet peeve, abusive inheritance!). Fourth, my evil twin is recommending it, I have to keep up on his evil deeds!
What, you didn't know pvanhoof, my evil twin? He's a belgian hacker, who followed a more or less similar path as mine, except in a few minor, but important details! For example, while I bike, he skateboards. He's working on configuration systems and a common event loop, but with a different approach. He's a vegetarian, whereas I like my meat. And the usernames... Just too funny!
